Help identifying omega cal 26

Hi,

I just recently purchased an omega (pictured) with what I believe to be a redial, but a unique case inscription and center second hand. I wanted to reach out to see if anyone would know where this watch was marketed to and what the original dial and hands would have been? Also, is this possibly a military watch? I have collected watches since 2009, but this is my first vintage omega, and I know nothing on the models, markets, military, rarity, etc. the serial number on the movement indicates it’s from 1939, but on the case back it dates to 1943. The car back and lug both reflect a “71” stamp. Watch measures approximately 32mm. Any information is greatly appreciated!

Hi and welcome,

it looks like some sort of "Medicus" model.
Dial is a wrong reprint for sure and no, its not a military watch.
The movement is not a cal 26, it is a 23.4 SC
The number 71 stamp is from the case maker - so they could match the case back to the main case body during the manufacturing process.
