Hi all, I’m new to vintage watches and wanted to gather some more information on an Omega I recently bought in Japan. The information I received from the store was:
Ref: IT-390. The closest reference I could find is the CK816? I couldn’t find any information on the “IT” prefix or 390 reference…
Movement serial: 8731209
Case serial: 9515271
Cal. 26.5 SOB
Dating to 1934/1935?
Any input/ information/ thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

It looks totally legit to me. We'd need to see the serial numbers to verify, but late 30s (1937-39) would be more consistent with the numbers you gave, as opposed to mid-30s. As for reference number, most Omega watches from this era are not marked with a reference number, so that only comes from a catalog or extract. IT-390 means little to me personally, but there are some people on the forum who specialize in these early models, so hang tight.
