Help identifying a speedmaster day-date/ triple date

Hello all,

I came across this archived auction for a speedmaster day-date 3521.30 while browsing online, but can't seem to identify it:

https://www.catawiki.com/en/l/14871...chronograph-automatic-ref-3521-30-men-s-watch

What seems to be unique on this model is the red day marker and the gold(?) subdial rings, and also the unusual bracelet with gold omega logo on the clasp. When I search for the reference model I can't find any like this, so maybe it was a special edition?

Could anyone identify this model? Help is much appreciated!

PS does anyone know where to find a comprehensive list of all the model variations released for the speedmaster day-date/ triple date? Would make finding the right one so much easier!

Hello.

Not a special edition, just an early one - if you do a google search for “speedmaster triple calendar maison fondee”, you’ll find others of this era.

lots of variations (for lots of markets) exists… and I have yet to encounter a list of them all.

good luck.

As @tyrantlizardrex mentioned there are a LOT of variants, colours, local editions etc of these, I still see new ones I’ve never seen all the time after years of seeing them here and on eBay.

They are great watches and well priced in general for what they are

It's a 35213000, as the advert states. Not sure what else you are looking for, but that is the reference number.

Hey Al,

Searching the reference from the sales ad (3521.30.00 as you very rightly pointed out) brings up a model with steel coloured hour markers, hands and sub dial rings, and a black tip to the date indicator. Along with the later style of bracelet with the Speedmaster clasp.

I think the OPs question stems from the model in the listing having gold coloured hour markers, hands and sub dial rings, and a red tip to the date indicator. Along withe the earlier bracelet with gold coloured Omega logo.

I guess they could share a reference number and there were some changes through time?

Or alternatively, the listing has an incorrect reference number?

Serial appears to be 54778422 which I guess would might resolve the above.

Cheers

Chris

Thanks Al. 👍

There's no photo of the dial on the Omega Extranet, so I can't tell if that is what it's supposed to look like or not.

I'm sure if the OP Googles the reference he can see if others are similar.

I just sold mine, and got a fair price for it.
