As noted, it's not easy to see because of the crystal, but it looks totally legit to me at first glance, with the exception that the crown has been replaced at some point, which isn't a big deal. A watchmaker could and service the movement and you could wear it on a leather strap, if that interests you. I think the dial is always going to have a bit of damage, but it will be an attractive watch, you can see that the hands and dial markers are gold, the 3-6-9-12 numerals are gilt, and the dial has a two-tone design. It's nice.
If you take it to a watchmaker, ask them to send you photos of the movement and the inside of the case-back, and we can give you more information.
The movement cal appears to be 283, the 12M serial number dates the watch to approximately 1950, and the reference number of the watch is 2537.
