I would like to identify and repair a Seamaster that I have inherited from my uncle. Your help in estimating the year of production, valuation, and repair services is very much appreciated.

thanks
Mitch

Take the case back off to find the reference #, serial number, then Google ebay for completed sales.

The case back is really tight, so I stopped trying to open it without the proper tools.

Look like a 166.002 with incorrect crown and bracelet.

Any good watchmaker can service it. Search the forum for recommended watchmakers on your country.

Value is around £400 if the dial is good and it’s running. If there are any stains on the dial or it’s not running, value is reduced. Bracelet has additional value of a couple hundred assuming it’s a 1125

Thank you David,

The crown is marked with an omega symbol, but it has a matte finish, and does not match the bright finish of the face. I am surprised about the bracelet, and it has an unusual marking of “11o.12”. It has the appearance of an 1125 though. Do you recognize this marking?

thanks,

The crown is a genuine Omega crown but is incorrect for this reference.
The circled 11 is simply a stamp seen on the clasp. Not all 1125 are actually marked ‘1125’.
