    Hi everyone, first time posting.
Hope I can get some help identifying this watch and some idea of value for it.
I've just acquired my dads old omega.
I've looked online and I am having trouble finding any info on this watch.
After I took these pictures I noticed other numbers on the inside back of the case that were scribed in, any ideas what these may be?
Thanks you in advance for your help.
    He purchased it in 1954.

The numbers scratched into the case back are service marks put there by a watchmaker when the watch was serviced and or repaired, they really have no meaning except to the person who made them.

The serial number confirms manufacture date in 1954.

It's a case ref 2505 which is listed in the OVD. Your example has a guilloche (patterned) dial and the calibre 266 movement, which all seems correct. It's quite a big watch for the period.

Nice watch. The 2505 was one of the larger models for its time (should be 38mm diameter). There are many dial variations for this model and yours looks like it was refinished at some point in time, but we would ned clearer pictures to determine this. The model was introduced in 1946 and I have an with a 30T2 movement, upon which the 266 is based.

Thanks, I had it cleaned up recently, its hard to see but I love the patterned face on it. Any ideas on value for, although I have no intention on selling it.

I am not sure about value, since I have not been following these recently. eBAY would be your best to determine what these are currently going for. My guess - anywhere in the 300-500$ range ::confused2::
