Please help me with any info that you can provide about this watch. It reads " omega automatic chronometre officially certified seamaster". It weighs 65 grams with the metal band. Serial # 2577.15 sc and 17 jewel movement # 13146578. It appears to be rose gold plated with a pearly face. It also has rose gold arrowhead markers. It was a gift to me from an old famous sea captain and I would never sell it but would like to know it's value and rarity. I have not been able to find another just like it. Thank in advance for any help. It is much appreciated!

Push the flower button on your camera for in-focus close-ups. That's a caliber 354 - a very nice "bumper" movement (called that because the W shaped weight bumps back & forth). The Seamaster line from the 50's used either a 352 or 354, usually the 352. I'd like to see a better shot of the dial to make a call on originality or refinish, but it's still a very nice watch. The serial number dates it to 1952. In it's current unserviced condition I would say you'd get at least $500 for it, and fully restored it would pull $900 minimum.

Is that gold cap? Looks almost rose-gold in tone unless that's just the lighting.

Yep, it probably is rose/pink capping. Sometimes, if a bidding war gets going, the 352 versions in similar shape can sell for $700 - $850 and pristine examples easily go for $1200 - $1350 from what I've seen.
