Hello I am an omega vintage watches fan and not an expert, during my lifetime I have purchased over 10 watches from different sources even from a flea market (most of them constellations some seamasters and two dynamics)

15 years ago, I purchased this old omega watch through Internet. I live outside USA and when it arrived Images where different from the actual watch. Returning it was difficult and I decided to keep it because it was a bumper movement and I love that mechanism. It runs well and In general looks better in person than in picture

Serial number is 14341283
Movement 354 17 jewels
Gold filled 14kt ross

It has been in my drawer for so long but now I am enthusiastically wearing it. I would like to know more about its history , specifications , to understand if dial is original , and if this crown is the right one

Thank you for your help and kindness

Manuel

If you google "omega serial number chart" you will find a table that estimates the production year from the serial number.

Welcome to OF.

I have a calibre 354. I attach photos for you to compare with yours.

I rather think that yours is cased differently (not an issue) and you can find out the case details inside the case back. Mine is a 2767.8 and has a similar movement serial number to yours.

I rather think that your crown is a replacement

I subsequently had mine serviced and cleaned up and a new gasket fitted. My crystal was replaced by the previous owner.

Sounds like a US-cased watch. Why not show the inside of the case-back?

Some watches were shipped to the US and other countries as uncased movements to save on import duties and put into cases locally. Ross is a US case maker.

No info about case material inside. It might be on the outside of the case.

G6267 is the reference and as noted this is a watch which was cased in the United States by Ross.

Not much more to say about it.
