    Hey guys!

i decided to make a new thread in helping me find a new watch because the last one turned into a discussion about customs and shipping... lol.

And im proud to say i got my money refunded from my last broken watch! So im on the hunt for a new watch.

what do you guys think about this?

Hijacking threads is part of our charm.

Pass on that watch - it's a franken. I've never known the 166.020 to have a 563 inside, only caliber 560, 562, and 565. Even if it were correct, that movement looks cobbled together to me.

never mind. I was thinking it was $500. $400 isn't bad. These go for $350 in auction every week.

If the dial is original, it is. Can't tell from the photos as the crystal is a mess. I hope the crud can be removed from the caseback. Might want to consider replacing the hands. Probably will cost a few bucks to restore, so don't get too carried away with it.

Movement looks to be very nice,

I think both watches are redials. The first one looks nicely done.

    Hope this helps,

The fonts sure look good for a pair of redials. I do agree with gator that they're both refinished.

Black dials, in mint condition, will most likely go higher than your budget unless they're on a less sought after model.
