Hi!
I was wondering if you could have a look at this. Is it real or fake? And what would you say about the condition? I bought this for 290 EUR today and now I’m getting cold feet looking at pictures on the same watches (seamaster 600 315 011). I know I didn’t spend a lot of money on it but did I make a bad purchase? (Considering the discoloration)
Thank you so much!
Best regards, josephine

What makes you suspect it to not be genuine?
Just curious...

It's not fake, relax. Dial has some patina/wear...

Can't tell if the crystal is genuine. Does it have a small omega logo in the center ? (it's inside the crystal)

Does the crown lack a logo ? If so it's a replacement...

The watch is legit. The crown is a replacement, which is not a big thing.

Reflecting the price, the overall condition is fair. So you didn't make a bad purchase IMO.

Well, to be honest I don’t know anything about omega watches, and when I read some of the threads here I got worried because I don’t know what signs to look for. 😬

Thank you for your answer. I actually don’t have the watch here since I bought it online, so I can’t see that.. but a relief to know it’s not a fake 😀

Is the watch serviced ? That type of dial wear could have been caused, in the past, by some water/humidity. I'm sure that it's fine now but keep that in mind and keep the watch out of reach of humidity and don't try to "clean" it as you'll make it worse. (basically try not to get the dial to get more damanged; in its stage it'll be a bit more sensitive to the elements than one that has had no damage to the paint/lacquer)

And get a nice genuine crown for it... And let us know whether the crystal is genuine or not. Non-genuine crystals can be bad for vintage Omegas in particular. (they often don't fit as they should with the case)

Maybe next time you should come in here and ask the important questions before purchasing a watch. There is a lot of scrap out there and the risk of buying something not worth the money is always present. So it definitely makes sense to hear some opinions, especially when you are no expert.

Yes, the watch was newly served and “balanced”?

Serviced and balanced ? Maybe balanced means regulated (adjusting the time accuracy).

Yes, it’s a direct translation from Swedish 😀

There are many people who don't know of this forum's existence until they buy a watch. They see something, like it and buy it in the rush of the moment, too carried away to research it first. It's like a form of hypnosis. And it's part of the nature of humanity. 😉
