I took my '61 Omega Seamaster to a local Jeweler for an estimate on getting the stem replaced (2-part stem) and the watch serviced and in the process of giving an estimate they have lost the original stem and crown. They put on a replacement that is similar but clearly not the same. Can someone please help me identify the correct part?

    Case: 14770 SC -01
    Ref: 562

I think *this* may be it but I cannot be sure. 43041ST

    Thanks!

I called and spoke with a man at ofrei.com and he said that the correct PN is 069ST42531. However, that crown looks different than the one that had been on my watch. Thoughts?

Two things occur to me. The crown that was lost was not the original crown and you need to look for not only another crown but another watchmaker.

Thanks for the welcome! :) Agreed on both points. I guess if I can figure out the specs on the original crown I can search for one that looks similar to my old crown.

Are you sure? We don't have a head on picture but from the profile the 'lost' crown unfortunately looks like an original to me.

Is the crown on the watch pictured above the replaced crown from the current watchmaker?.

069ST42531 is the current replacement crown for your case. Not uncommon that current replacements look different than the originals, when the original crowns are no longer available.

Note that 069ST43041 is discontinued, and 069ST42531 is the replacement for it.

    Cheers, Al

Thank you Al! In my own digging I also found that 069ST43041 looked like it but wasn't 100% sure.
