    Hello,

This is my first time buying a vintage Omega watch, and I wanted to make sure the watch is authentic before making the purchase. I have my eyes on two watches right now, a Seamaster 600 and Seamaster 120 on ebay:

I'm fairly confident with the Seamaster 120, but I've been researching the Seamaster 600 and couldn't quite find something with a similar dial and hands. Could someone confirm that the SM600 is the real deal?

    I attached the photos below:

The Seamaster 600 has the wrong hands but it is worth grabbing for the dial if it stays low.

120 looks OK, but wait for a 120 guru to confirm.

You know the 120 is the small version? Not the 37mm one. Just to be sure...

Please post pictures not just links.

The 600 is poor. It has the wrong hands and is very tired.

The 120 is the child's/ladies version at 31mm and willlook ridiculous on a mans wrist.

I'm aware that the 120 is the ladies version, which I thought would suite my (very) small wrists better than the 37mm.

So the 600 is not worth grabbing?

No. By the time you service it and find correct hands you'll likely be above value.

Still think the ladies size would look bad even on a small man's wrist. The 37-mm version really is not that large of a watch, the ladies is dainty in comparison.

What size wrist would you say the 31mm would be suitable for? My wrist measures at just under 6", would it still be too small?

Some men will wear a 31mm dress watch, but for a tool watch with a big bezel, I think it's just not going to look right. On the other hand, many men complain that a 35mm sport watch is too small, but that would be perfect on you.

Indeed, it's not the overall size, it's the proportions.

I see. I guess I'll wait around for another 120. Thanks

For perspective, I'm a woman with a 31mm 120 and 6.5" wrist. The watch fits me like a classically sized sports warch. I think it would peprobab work in the proportion you want for you

Could you take a photo of you wearing it? I'd like to see how it looks.

Could you zoom out a bit more? I'd like to see how it looks in proportion to the entire hand.

You mean: thanks a lot! If you have the time, could you please zoom out a bit more? That would be wonderful.

That's a unique 120, is that bezel aftermarket or original?

Love the leather strap by the way.

To my knowledge, yes. It used to be more orange. The strap is a Spediel buffalo grain

Ah I see, I'm more of an exotic leathers person but I can sure appreciate Buffalo.

The bezel has faded to a nice peachy colour, it complements your skin tone more than orange would.

    Wear it well!
