Hi, I have recently bid on the below linked item but after review of this thread I am concerned it may be a Frankenstein watch, would greatly appreciate any advise

The movement is a completely original Omega. As is the case verified by the hallmarks.

HOWEVER!

It never left the factory with that ludicrous dial, hands and the shiny new crown.

It's what's known as a "marriage" watch, where an old pocket watch is tarted up with lugs or even a new case.



Worth about $3.
