Help assessing if 1988 Speedmaster Reduced on Chrono24 is authentic

Hi, new member here, I'm looking at buying a Speedmaster Reduced from a Private Seller on Chrono24. The listing suggests it has original box and original papers. The seller explains it has a 1140 movement in it, although there are no photos of the movement in the listing. They say the watch received a full service June of 2022 receiving a 24-month Omega warranty as a result, and had an additional 1- year warranty from Chronoscope Collector Watches between December 2021 and 2022.

I messaged the seller to ask about the bracelet, inquiring if it was in fact a 1450 as it appears to me, and they quickly replied yes, all parts are original. My inclination is to proceed, and using the C24 escrow period take it to a local authenticator upon receipt, does anyone have additional advice or see anything glaring to suggest the listing is no-good? Thanks so much in advance.

The only thing that looks weird to me is the caseback. That might be the replacement part Omega is using now. It looks great other than that. I would insist on seeing the service paperwork if that is making the asking price more.

Have you handled and worn a Speedy Reduced in person?

You mean 1459? The 1450 is a 20mm bracelet for the fully size speedy and a lot more expensive than a 1459.

I've not - I have a small wrist at ~6.25" circumference, so watches 40mm and below in case size are appealing to me. Anything in particular I should be wary of? Thanks!

Smooth caseback and 1459 bracelet can be seen on earlier examples. If it was Omega serviced in 2022 and they have all the paperwork for that I'm not really sure where the doubts are. The photos are a bit washed out but it looks like there's an element of cream to the dial plots suggesting it retains its original dial, but if it's had an Omega service they may have changed the hands to new superluminova ones, and if so they would glow far stronger than the dial. Just something to consider - and worth checking with the seller if it matters to you.

Of the hundreds of watches I've owned, the Speedmaster Reduced is one of a very small number that I immediately disliked when I received it. I just found it unappealing in-person and resold it right away. That's just my personal opinion, but I'd certainly recommend handling it before buying.
