Guys I'm facing trouble regarding the below chrono-quartz. Part of a number in the LCD-display won't lit. Anyone knowing if this can be fixed?? Thanks in advance for all help/ advice!
Hey Martin, I was talking to Simon at STS about these before Christmas... I was left with the impression that Bienne *might* be able to fix it, but that there aren't LCDs available in the supply chain for independents any more...
Calling Tom Dick......... Tom will give us the skinny on repairing these, he's had a few. I suspect it needs a new module. Bienne only if STS cannot help
That's bad news if STS can't fix them anymore. Can't say I've seen many spare modules available on the web over the years...
No idea if it can be applied but this chap claims to have a way to fix old segment displays. If you have a defective module to play around with why not? http://www.exisle.net/mb/index.php?...lphanumeric-lcd-displays-on-consumer-devices/
Sorry for chiming in late, yes the display is an relatively easy fix andi was under the impression STS can do it but it's not cheap. There is a nos movement available at the moment (I can help with withh) but as a first port of call reach out to Simon at STS and ask for his advice Here to help if I can? PM me
