Hello, New here. Curious about this watch. My watch guy didn’t seem to thrilled.

So this was in a batch of watches I purchased. I have loads of watches, but never had an Omega.
My Rolex A.D. wouldn’t tell me anything, but he recommended this group.

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.
If I split all the watches up I bought, this one cost me around 200.00 USD, but it was part of a batch, so not really sure.

Thanks

Compare the movement pic with a real omega caliber 8800.

Sorry. A fake

To head off the follow up question of "how can you tell?"

The instant "tell" between a China movement and an Omega Co-Axial. No need to look further. Omega co-ax does not have this part on the balance.

Where to begin? @redpcar has already slammed the case shut, but to further flog this dead horse: the rotor finish is extremely crude and looks nothing like the real deal, the last two links attaching to the clasp are completely wrong, the end links don’t fit the case properly, the shape of the clasp should not be rectangular (the ends are curved on the real thing), the logo on the clasp is crude and the wrong depth, the shape of the sapphire crystal is wrong. This may be the worst fake of the current gen SMP 300M I’ve ever seen.
