Yes. I'll definitely keep my eyes out. But anyone sees a 7912 available, I'd appreciate the heads up!

That really is a very beautiful, clean example of the reference. Bezel looks amazing for the age of the watch. On the subject of the 'vintage correct crown'??? I don't know if the watch is in need of a service, but if it is, STS (in the UK) may be able to offer you a crown as an addition to the service. I know they are in limited supply now, but you only need 'one of em' and they may still have one that is correct for your watch.
My 105.012-65 came back from the service with a 'vintage correct' crown fitted.
(Sorry the pix are a bit fuzzy. Zooming in on the Photo frame app seems to do that. Think the number of teeth are still easily visible)

Thank you. the watch was serviced by "Rik"(?) just over a year ago apparently. I just happened to find the correct crown so really all I need is the correct 65-66 7912 bracelet. Im not so concerned about the service crystal as I'd rather forgive period-correctness there for structural integrity. Better to be safe that sorry for the sake of a $200 piece of plastic.

Ahh! Sounds like it's coming together nicely. When you source your 7912 and have it, and the crown, fitted it would be great to see some more pictures. It's already a lovely watch, the finished article with bracelet and crown will look amazing.馃憤

It's a 228xxxx serial. I've just ordered the extract so unsure if it's 65 or 66.

Thanks guys. I'm pretty sure the crown is a service replacement. So i guess I need to hunt for an original one at some point. Narrow, flat feet, 24 would be correct ?
you will need 500 bucks or so...

edit: just read that you have already found a correct one

BTW a very nice specimen of Ed White...

Outstanding! I love the uniformity of wear throughout all elements of the watch. And the piece as a whole is in such fine condition. Congratulations.
