    Hello from Scotland.

I have owned Omegas since I was an apprentice an earned enough to buy a 300f back in the 80's. Even the wife has an Omega watch.

I now own a Speedmaster Co axial and absolutely love this watch, it's a keeper, though I did think about a Breitling Transocean, but had a word with myself !

I am having some leather straps made for this watch and need some help, the girl making the straps need some measurements which I don't have as my watch came with the steel bracelet.

I'll post the picture she sent me and if someone could help me out here I would be grateful, I am getting a deployant (I have the OEM Omega deployant clasp), and 1 strap with normal buckle. My wrist is 190/200mm.

    Thanks, Andrew

Welcome to the forum, I’m sure you will enjoy your time here and find it interesting and informative.
There are a few Scots on here, whereabouts in the highlands are you?
I grew up in Thurso, Caithness but as you will see from my forum name I am an exile in the south of England having left Scotland at the age of fifteen, which is more years ago than I care to remember.
Hope someone will help with the information you require.

    Duncan.

I grew up a wee bit North over the Pentland Firth. Where are you now?

We’ve visited Scotland three times over the years. You don’t get to see much in a week, but we visited Inverness, and loved it. Loved your country, period! Welcome! My paternal grandfather was from Whitehall, Stronsay, in the Orkneys.

Welcome you'll fit right in. As a amateur whiskey man I must say that in my opinion the best is Glenmoragnie and my other favorite is Balvenie (although that is Speyside).

Back on subject, could someone tell me the size of the two pieces of their deployment strap on a 45mm Speedmaster Co ax please ?

Someone must have a leather deployment on their Speedmaster co ax ?

I could live the rest of my life with Highland Park.
In fact, I intend to do just that.

Irvine born here. But lost my accent a loooong time ago. Haven’t lived in Scotland since I was 7. But recently Google Mapped my childhood home in Ardrossan. Just as I remember it.

The sound of bagpipes still affects me though.

    Edit to answer question 4 - 20mm

Btw for 5 if youre buying a Deployant clasp you won’t need the notch out of the RHS image.
I imagine you’ll be looking at a 18mm clasp, but you could go to 16mm. So you’ll need to match with whatever you are buying... what’s the OEM number??

For 1.2 &3. Buy a cheap strap from amazon and take your measurements from there...

I’m guessing you’re from Orkney then. Our house overlooked Thurso bay towards Hoy.
For many years now I’ve lived a few miles from Winchester.

Ah the good old A9! I remember many trips across the Struie between the Dornoch and Cromarty Firth’s long before the bridge was built, with Alness near the southern end.

Can’t answer the question but just got back from the highlands in Scotland. I want to defect and come live with you! We are coming back next year to hike the west highlands trail. Beautiful place.

I would hazard a guess that it's living in Scotland that makes us such likeable and all-round pleasant people :D
