Hello all from Spain. I have been peeping for a while and I must say generous knowledge exchange and good atmosphere seem to be a trend here. Congrats to all members for that. I'm a newby, totally unexperienced . After seeing Omega watches in the wrists and pockets of family ancestors all my life I have realised I have a kind of love for those machines that It's still unexplored. I already have a vintage gold Omega with a hell of a family story behind and want to expand this one watch collection exploring this pationating world. Assuming I'm a total ignorant in this matters I have already spotted some pieces I will post to ask for the kind help and suggestions of the members or this forum. Cheers all and take care

Thanks. See a pic of the piece mentioned above. My dad has been using it weekly for the last 60 years or so. Gold bracelet was done to measure by a jeweller back then. Manual winding. My dad claims it was refurbished before he got it. It wasnt new, the piece already had a story behind. I have been using it for few months rotating with a more discrete brown leather strap. It works like a clockwork. I dont know the model, movement, year it was made, if its completely original or not.. it could be interesting to know but whats most important is personal attachment so I am happy to show my piece, starting point of developing an interest in Omega watches

You might drop a line to @Tritium who is in Madrid, and who is an Omegaphile. He helped me out with an Omega project several years ago. Great guy!

Welcome lovely watch, such a cherished family treasure. I can't comment on the originality of the watch, but it looks quite nice.

    Welcome to the forum!
It's a beautiful watch you've got. My Dad gifted me his old Omega too and it was that watch which sparked my interest in this brand. If you want help identifying your watch, try posting a picture of it in the "Vintage Omegas" section of the forum. There are plenty of knowledgeable people around who can give you a hand. Cheers!
