This was well loved and given to me. SMDV SS.
I would like to know more about it. Think it is a 1967? What is the dial called looking through photos see a similar one with date. Also need a new crystal is there a part number. Thank you all this looks like an excellent site.

Hi, Welcome! I am from the Oregon part of California. Before you get a new crystal you could try polywatch. The watch looks nice to me. Someone here may be able to tell you more, but it looks like the Seamaster listed here as a "14905 SC Omega Seamaster De Ville"

Actually, I take that back, your markers are slightly different. Polish the crystal and put it on an Omega beads of rice bracelet and you got yourself a fine watch!

The watch is now at the Alder Street Clock Shop for a cleaning and new lens. was losing about 30 seconds a month. I have to wash my hands so often the expansion bracelet lets me push the watch up my forearm toward elbow. was there an appropriate omega band that expands without manipulating a buckle (age appropriate style) Thank you all. I will post photos and another Jim gave me as a gift when servicing is done

If I'm reading this correctly, that's about 1 second per day. That is extremely accurate for a mechanical watch of any kind.

Actually, there was one. Here it is:

Hope this helps,

I agree with @gatorcpa If it was losing 30secs a month don't expect it to come back from a service more accurate! Chances are it will not be within a second a day even in the hands of the world's best watchmaker. If it was losing 30secs a day than it certainly can do better.
