I dont think it is. Never seen that signature and the movements for 50s iwc (schaffhausen) are normally signed

The movement is signed, just hard to make out.

I haven't seen this particular dial before but it looks correct to me. That logo was used by iwc once upon a time (most notably on the mark x) and there is precedence for double logo dials

Ah, yes, I see now there's is sonerhing in the movement, can't quite figured it out though.

Interesting the logo is legit on the dial. Have never seen it before. Very retro.

Unlikely to be original, in my vies. There were some dials featuring that logo, but in my experience they were earlier examples. Also, the logo itself does not appear to be correct to me.

Regards,

Tony C.

UPDATE: This will give you a feel for the (earlier) period during which the logos appeared on some dials, and note that – at least in these examples – the logo replaced the International Watch Co script:

Movement engraving not looking right, Swiss - all the S,s look odd. International - last A looks huge and missing the i ?

Would like to see it better but on iPad mini

After looking at it some more, this may just be an older redial. The fact that the 'International Watch Co Schaffhausen' and 'swiss' looks to be factory spec made me think it could be original, but the probus scafusia logo as well as the subdial indices look off. Can't really make a convincing case for either argument without any definitive proof, but the op's instinct to stay away serves him well, I think.

The movement engraving is as it should be. The A should be big, the S's should be different, and I think I can make out the I. While I really love this movement for its chronometer-like performance, the level of finishing is not quite on par with similar offerings from the Big 3.

This one was posted in Iwc.com , the only similar dial to the watch in this thread. To bad only one had answered my question on Iwc.com

Hmmmm... ok. You know what's weird? When I saw the other cal 88, I immediately thought that the two logos don't quite match, but after a closer look I realized that excluding the 'IWC' the so-called football shapes are actually mirror and upside down images of one another. Pay close attention to the points - one side is droopy and the other is sharper. Don't know what to quite make of that except to say that at the risk of flip-flopping Romney-style, I think my first instinct was correct.

Edit: but of course, I didn't account for the off center indices in the sub dial. Oy vey... I don't know... My advice is to just stay away and find a better example. Im gonna go eat hot dogs and watch fireworks!

Shit , i can't really see that [emoji2] or is it just an illusion , so what would I think , the guys on the Iwc forum think that the other watch with similar logo is legit. And you can se difference in those two logos. So either one of these watches have original logos and dial and one is a redial or fake ? I love vintage watches but some times they can make u insane , of not knowing what's real or not [emoji2]

If it is torturing you this much, pass on it. After all, if you buy it and try to sell it later because you're not convinced it's original, you'll have a hard time finding a buyer that won't ask the same questions you're asking now.
