The second one is a nice dial variation on the E855 Memovox. We have nearly identical JLC watches, except for your 1968-ish caliber 885 and my 1946-ish caliber 428.

Kommis, have you noticed how the prices of the bumper Memovoxes are shooting up? These E855's are very popular and getting more sought after because of their size. Either the 825 date or 815 no date in stainless, gold, or plated are shooting through the roof.

Quite correct. Has become much more expensive in recent years. But as you say it's the size that makes it interesting and the bumper movement. I have no gold memovox, but in about a month I will try to bid on a JLC Memovox 18 carat from 1963 in incredible condition complete with box and papers. But it will be expensive, I'm afraid. I have seen many JLC Memovox over the years but most have damaged dials. The crowns vas not so waterproof i think.
