As a card carrying member of Mensa...I mean Amex, a YouTube video caught my attention and had an interesting tidbit at the 8:50 mark.
Apparently Amex is teaming up with Watches of Swisscheesland so your fancypants, centurion card holding a$$ can get the "hookup" on a Daytona...or something like that.

Perhaps they will extend this benefit to the plebeians with their platinum or, (gasps and clutches pearls) gold cards, at some point. Not like I care though lol.

Good to see benefits on a credit card that is invitation only, has a $10,000 initiation fee and is $5,000 per year. I guess alternatively you could just skip the card and in two years you could buy a Daytona on the grey market

If you are a Black Centurion card holder you probably are just going to buy it at market cost and not worry about using a hookup via a link on your card to get it at MSRP.

More likely you would buy it at market cost so you can tell all your friends how much you had to pay to get it.

I have a hard time seeing this implemented. Since there’s no “waiting list” how would a Centurion member knows where she stands? Half of Wall Street and 6 tech-bros are members. That invisible wait-list is as long as ever.

Centurion member or not, you are still at the mercy of SA, unless, Amex became an AD and peddle hot watches to their top tier members directly. 10years Centurion members guaranteed a Daytona in 24 months. First year member? a Tudor.
