    Hey guys,

So, I'm approaching my one year anniversary here on OF and I'm eagerly awaiting Watch Season.

When does it start? There seems to be a rash of watches coming to the market lately.. some nice speedies, Railmaster, seamaster 300s.

    Has it started already?

    Thanks!

The biggest "migration" occurs from the end of January into April, with mid February through late March being the bulk of it. There is occasionally summer runs, like Christmas in July. We've also seen some pre-Christmas activity from late September into November, but that's not as consistent as the winter / spring period.

Hmm... I've snapped up quite a few this summer, hopefully doesn't mean I'll miss out on some good stuff over the winter :)

I think @Barking mad created his very own Season before snaring his skeleton. It was kind of a transient climatic shift :)

Very dry for me the last 2-3 months or so. Have not been looking as closely as usual due to some home renovation expenses but very few pieces have caught my eye during this time. Maybe things will start to pick up soon.

Question: flipping the perspective around. If the aforementioned periods are the glory days for buyers, what about sellers?
Is it better to cast a sales piece in the off-season because buyers are hungry? Or is it better to wait for sales season because buyers come out to feed?

What works best? Live bait, flies or lures?

Watch season for me ends when my budget runs dry. My theory ...Bonuses get paid out in Feb - April. That is watch season.

If watch season = 2016, I'd have to say yes. Didn't buy one single watch last year, the count so far this year is...

    ...

    ...

Ten! Had to get up and count them!

Plus two others which are stuck in customs at the moment. Apparently they need to check that they aren't counterfeit ::facepalm2::

Wait... That makes it eleven, not ten! Might need to slow down...

Funny, in my mind, I thought I had only bought about 6 watches this year, but then I added them up ...:D.

I think I might have sold (or given) 6, though!
