Connie collectors on this forum would give their right arm (not left cos that's for a watch) to have a critique from Hoi AND Desmond
(And with your first post!)
Congrats on a really nice round case, pie-pan Connie
Enjoy wearing it

Quick set?
You mean this: pop it out once to set the time, and a bit further out to set the date? Yes, it has that.
But I have no idea how to get the back off and check the movement...
Next time will do a bit more research... ;-)
Price not cheap, but watch is very elegant and understated, a joy to wear and currently keeps absolute spot on time with my smartphone, which is synched to the mobile network.

I'm very surprised to learn that these 60's pie pans are being counterfeited. It doesn't seem like it's worth the trouble and/or profitable.

When prices for nicer steel and gold capped pie-pans approach $1,500 to $2,000 it is quite profitable. The fake dials are readily available and cheap.

I suspect the higher prices go, the more of these we will see.

I'm surprised it's not the gold versions that are being faked.

There was a rash of fake gold cases several years ago. @mondodec outed a lot of them at the time, and we've seen a lot fewer since.

However, the non-gold cases are now going for as much as the gold cased ones were back then.
