Has anyone seen this video about this bloke kicking off about the types of people that wear the Omega Seamaster and the Rolex Submariner?
Ok, I am going to be a tad controversial here. I like the Seamaster, of course, but his description of the wearer does remind me of some of the threads on WUS...
Ah yes, but those guys on other watch Forums are cocks and just love to argue, regardless of what watch they're wearing. Whereas the Mods and members of this forum are most welcoming no matter what you're wearing on your wrist... even if its a Hamilton !!...
You know in Jakarta Hamilton is sold in the most prestigious watch dealer.............So the perception of Hamilton is very different here compare to US. I don't want to buy it though..............
This guy is so foul-mouthed it doesn't matter what he wears. His "luxury watches" cannot buy him class. As he said, "it's a shame" indeed.
This is my very first post on this forum. The guy sounds like a duck and looks like an @ss.. "a shame"..
Archie may be an Australian... in fact he lives in Brisbane, the same city I do... but he is not typical for an Australian, or for a watch collector.
..or for a correct and decent person. Most of my friends in the Antipodes (if not all) are relaxed and respectful people. Archie can't really buy class, can he ?
I would not give him that credit. He is not thought of or discussed except when a new member has an inquiry.
Am I the only person who finds him to be hilarious? I think it's clear that he only intends his comments to be comedic and that they shouldn't be taken seriously at all. Btw, I'm a Submariner and a Speedmaster owner.
Every time I see Archie mentioned, I think of Scarface: Particularly the line Michelle Pfeiffer says at 1:19.
