Looks like this one is: besides the obviously wrong dial, the wratchet wheel is not of the fancy type for a cal. 352. What do you guys think? http://www.ebay.com/itm/310871472731Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
The RG regulator is correct, but as you say the ratchet wheel does not have the "luxury" finish. I suspect a re-dial, and the hands are incorrect.
Yes, that's a possibility - it does have that look about it. The odd thing is the hands, which are wrong for both this dial and also the presumed original, which would have had the minute track inside the (shorter) hour batons.
It's up for sale again. This time for a premium of over 50%. Is it worth it? http://www.ebay.com/itm/281351619584Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Well, it still looks crap to me and now it's more expensive. So why would you bother? The movement was a 352 once but now it's got some wrong parts. The dial is obviously wrong, and so are the hands. For the same money (or not much more) you should be able to get a nice clean steel 1950s Seamaster with all the right bits.
Thank you, John. People's opinions can change even when the circumstances stay the same. Your answer is helpful not just to me but to anyone happens to read this thread.
