Happy Birthday @oddboy! It's not my birthday, but I did get married (for the 1st time) 40 years ago today so I'm having a beer to celebrate. May I raise my glass and wish you many more birthdays.

Somehow I wound up spending a good part of the day shopping, prepping for, and making a batch of mussels marinara and a big bowl of linguine with clam sauce for my wife and my mom (she is in town visiting for a couple days). Best part is I do not like mussels or clams, so my dinner consisted of some pilfered linguine (pre-clam-sauce) topped with some leftover braised beef-and-peas from the fridge. Afterward though my five year old had me run laps around the kitchen/ family room with him, while beating on a small drum and singing silly songs. It bugged the heck out of my wife and mom. So all-in-all, pretty much a perfect Father's Day
