·Hello All,
For sale is my ultra rare 50’s Hanhart 417es flyback in stainless steel (the vast majority are made of base metal). During this period Hanhart manufactured French military Type XX flyback chronographs for Vixa. This watch is virtually identical,only with superior finishing, as it was made under their name.
As an interesting side note, it is well documented that Steve McQueen wore and was photographed wearing the 417es.
Case: Excellent condition, with no corrosion, 39mm stainless steel case with reeded bezel. Appears to be unpolished, or near. Original pushers and crown are both present.
Dial: Excellent condition, with no major flaws and original radium. Both dial and hands react as expected to both Geiger and light.
Accessories: None
The Hanhart in house caliber is winding, setting, running extremely well. With all chronograph functions (including flyback) working as designed.
Overall a stunning example of an incredibly rare, interesting and cool watch. As far as I know, this is the only example being offered for sale, publicly. Which isn’t surprising, with less than 100 in steel known to exist.
$7250 usd, shipped overnight in conus, oversees at cost. Three (3) day return will be granted to conus members in good standing, with all overseas deals being final.
