At quick glance from afar the watch would draw me in and I agree that it vaguely gives off Snoopy 50th vibes.

On closer inspection, I like the ombre effect on the chrono seconds hand and I don't mind the funky font on the date wheel.

In practical terms, the watch wouldn't do much for my collection since I already have the white dial moon watch, and neither the Olympic tie-in nor the pleasing blue/white colorway is enough of a differentiator for me.

I will, however, be searching for the Große Olympiaschanze ski jump competion this New Years Day on television. I think it sounds like a lovely holiday tradition.

I think this illustrates why the subdials are the weird ovals on the ladies' models: they're just too big for the dial. The balance is all off. Top-heavy hockey puck of a case too. Omega design dept has an unhealthy obsession with thicc

I would have to see that dial in person, that bluish frost looks smudgy in the pics. I really don't know why a prospective buyer would choose this over the 42 mm white dial. It's cheaper, yes, but saving $2,300 shouldn't be the driving factor. The watch is too thick for its diameter, it's not going to give a good feeling on the wrist. I just don't see the rationale for this watch from a buyer's angle. Omega's policy is to make no more special edition 42 mm Speedmasters, instead they will choose a lesser line, like the 38 mm for that. I don't think that works for the collector market.

Sorry, but the dial just looks dirty from blue fingerprints 🫆.
Much prefer the white pro.

I like it very much. I have loved my black 38mm since the day I purchased it. Am seriously considering this one as an addition. I am in a very small minority I know, maybe a minority of 1, LOL, but I actively dislike the SMP whereas I love the design of the 38mm. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I like this one a lot. In a way though, it feels in the same vein as the FOIS with the 321, instead with the snoopy. Similar cues but different enough. Trouble I have is I already have a Snoopy so I don't know how much wrist time this would get.

All this is, is a non pro case case right?

No, completely different. Calibre 3330 automatic as opposed to manual wound.

Knowing your taste so far in Speedmasters I wouldn't think this would be in your wheelhouse at all.

I was just told that I get first dibs on it when the OB gats them. We shall see if I do it. I do like the small size.

Because it's smaller. Some people (like me) are not going to buy a 42mm watch.

I should think you will. I doubt it’ll fly out the doors. The recent 38mm releases have seemingly been aimed at women, who traditionally buy less chronographs than men. That said the earlier pale blue model is very nice and I have a very macho pal who proudly wears his on his strapping hairy wrist. It must be said this one is less obviously feminine than the ones with the oval sub dials. The best of a bad bunch you might say. I’d wear it, but I wouldn’t buy it with my own money.

I like it. Sure, I already have a white face Speedy, but this one has the blue stuff (really nicely done) and is more suited to my svelte wrists. The date font is certainly unique and I'm not crazy about the smudges on the face either. But I'm pretty sure that in a year or two it will be like every other 38mm Omega and be worth less than half of MSRP and I can pick one up then.

Date font is only quirky on the 26th, others are normal;

Interesting. Any idea why?

Just to accentuate Olympics '26 is my guess.
