Omega’s timekeeping for the Olympic Winter Games dates back to 1936 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Each New Year’s Day, a thrilling ski jump takes place at the Große Olympiaschanze, known in English as the Great Olympic Hill. It’s a cherished family tradition - though I’m the only one watching these days - to tune in to the […]

Not bad, but not as good as the regular white moonwatch (which is a total homerun in my opinion). Interesting that it doesn't look small like other 38mm watches. Something about the overall Speedy design just makes it magically work in any size on any wrist.

Bummer about the 100m WR. That will just be confirmation ammunition for the incessant boring "you cant wear your speedmaster in teh rain hurrr durrr" discussions.

But Omega guarantees you can swim with their 30m rated watches so why not with a 100m one?

Indeed, that's typically the moment someone will step in and mention something incoherent about "dynamic pressure" and then everything goes off the rails.

I used to have Omega's WR sheet on my desktop for quick posting convenience, but these days I just tune out and go do something productive instead 😁

I suppose the bigger question is: why would this "winterized" version of the speedmaster need 100m? The usual 50m is plenty for any activity involving snow/ice and this will just be fuel for the people demanding more WR on the regular Speedy models.

Not a bad effort, but the 38mm series is kind of a red headed stepchild....neglected and shunned by the Speedmaster cognoscenti. Since it has a good WR rating I'm confident that one could mow the lawn with this watch and not suffer any negative consequences.

Nice. I like the dial and the price is ok. Probably will not be adding one to the collection though. But the "26" in a window looks strange to me.

I don't know if Omega is a luxury watchbrand because this new Speedy 38mm is anything else than a luxury watch, not to mention hundreds of Omega references especially for women, who are equipped with Quartz movements so IMHO, Omega is considered as a higher mid-range Watchmanufacturer😐😐😐😐 but to each it's own thoughts

I think the word "luxury" is stupid to begin with.

I like it. Blue/white always look great and the dial pattern is subtle and beautiful.

You don't like arguing with a random stranger on the internet? That's the best way to kill time at work when you're bored.

I don't like the snow/ice dial. Seems like a twisted meteorite dial... the date font is ugh and lastly I wouldn't want to wear something that is associated with the Olympics (not if I'm not an Olympic athlete).

It is affordable though.

Hm,

am I the only one who likes this MiniSpeedy? It pretty much reminds me on the Snoopy3 with its white-blue face.

Nope, I like it and think the same thing. Don't really care about the olympics tie in, but it's cool.

Definitely not. I really like it.

I especially like that it doesn't have the wierd oval sub dials. I also like ( at least in photos) the white dial. The white dial of the 42mm moonwatch is too stark and bland for my taste. I like a little shimmer, sunburst, silver, anything but flat, stark white.

The size is great. I had a mark 40 and it was very comfortable. The Nixon bracelet is one of my favorite bracelets, comfort wise.

I can live with the Olympic themed caseback. If it had Olympic crap on the dial that would be a deal breaker.

One of my first thoughts was that this is a option for my wife and daughters. My wife can wear a Speedmaster, but it does look big and isn't the most comfortable for her. This 38mmm would be about perfect.

The price is relatively good compared to a moon watch. And the movement is top notch quality. It's a pretty good deal when compared to other brands' chronos.

No, you're not the only one who likes it.

The Insta pic I saw on time&tide of the dial really put me off:

Too too thick. Nice concept idea with the dial, but when then you look at GS and the execution leaves a lot to be desired.

Love the change to the subdials though!
