    Probably not. I do not think athletes can accept gifts from a sponsor during the Games...

    I don’t know how they allocated the 55 sets is there any info? Probably mostly Japanese collectors

    Omega watches are a part of the Opening Ceremony gear, at least according to a classmate who competed in London. Athletes get a crap ton of swag from all over when they arrive at the Olympic village

    No. My former personal coach was the Olympic coach for every archery team Canada sent to the Olympics from 1996 to 2016, and none of the 30 or more Olympians that I know personally and competed against ever received a watch.
