The Navitimer 806 1959 advertised having hand applied lume. Under the right lighting today I see that is the case. That has to be a tedious job. I see the flaws but don’t think I could do any better. I drink coffee like water!
The hand applied look is a big part of the attraction of the Simon Freese watches - https://omegaforums.net/threads/freese-watches-thoughts.107452/
Breitling has done an excellent job with the Re-edition. Here’s a shot of my Navitimer from 1961 for comparison.
Wouldn't that job suck though! One sneeze or itch and you're screwed! One shot with the paint brush! Then again being a watchmaker would be tough. My hats off to folks like Archer
