Off topic, but I think the Alaska is amazing as well, except for the triangular subdial hands. I sort of wonder if I would care so much in person, since they would be smaller, but in every picture they just stick out like a sore thumb to me.

To the OP, I'd love to see the second one with a copper/rhodium comparison as well.

the hands were an issue for me when i had it too! but more so that only 2 of the subdial hands were the triangle shaped ones and that it threw the dial off balance, i was considering at one point to swap out the time seconds for another triangle hand, but they are impossible to source

let me see if i can get around doing that when i have some time, but then again now thinking about it, i don't really have any rhodium 1861s in a lyre lug case, i'm only left with my 60th, but let's see how it goes

 

That does make a difference for me - I'd never thought of it that way!, But the seconds hand being different as @josephgsy stated is what I dislike as well.
