Hi all,

I have been wanting to create a leather nato strap with a camo print inspired from the Austrian "pea camo" military pattern.

I'm not entirely convinced by the result. The actual feel in hand is good, but something about the colors in the camo is troubling me.

What are your overall thoughts? Aesthetically?

Thanks alot

That’s the only Speedy it would work with...

If you're looking for honest opinions, certainly not to my taste.

Looks odd in that combo. Maybe you should pair it with a more military looking watch such as Seamaster (166.024)? If it had been narrower then maybe an LE Railmaster?

You mentioned that you wanted to create this; did you do it yourself, commission it or just happen to find the pattern you were looking for? Just curious.

Yes it does look weird in that combo, I have to agree. I had the pattern designed and then produced by someone else. The issue is with the pattern - the actual finishing of the strap is good. Maybe it would be more adapted to a nylon nato strap.

The erbsentarn/camo pattern is what was looking to recreate.

I think it’s unique and funky. Perfect for a summer BBQ party.

Again I think that’s really the only pro it works with as it contrasts nicely with the red on the watch.

It’s not bad. I agree it could really work with a more traditional, three-hand watch

I think it could work on another watch, I think what is really throwing me off is the red against the green of the strap. But either way it is a fun strap and would look great on something more military.

The strap contrasts too much with the stark white and red detail of the Alaska aesthetic in my opinion. I think it would be nice on an Italian albino as it has more of an off white face and all black hands.

Not a fan, but if you like it, that's all the counts. 👍

I don't like it at all, this is my personal opinion.I understand you spent good money having it custom made but try it on a different watch.

It would work well for casual moose hunting or if you want to dress it up a little...

The strap is not to my tastes but I think it would look better with a darker dialed watch.

The white is too white and the red hand too red for the strap - it would look better with a standard speedy imo.
