Now that is impressive! Not only the diploma per se, but also the eight-day power reserve! Excuse my ignorance, but is that a wristwatch movement? ::confused2::

It all looks much grander that it was, but they certainly know how to flatter :).

I spent an hour and a half working on reassembling the core elements of a Reverso with the JLC boutique watchmaker. It was definitely educational and enjoyable but the certificate is a bit of puffery they give you at the end. All good fun though :D

Yes, quite a few watches have 8 day reserves. We had a bit of discussion about it and the gearing between the two barrels that are used to deliver it, although that is as much as I can tell you !

It does. Finding the time might be a problem though :(

What, bracelet, spring bars, buckle etc. ?

Or did you actually get into the engine room?

The engine room. He took it apart & explained it all - I put it back together again.

    Well done old chap ;)

Not many of us watch tinkerers get to play at those ionospheric levels of the horological atmoshphere.

I like his style. He does the easy bit and gets the apprentice to do all of the hard work.:p

That is a truely scary thought. "Settle with my client or go and stand over there with an apple on your head"

It started out a JLC and by time Warren finished, it looked like a Dynamic !
