I happen to have a more positive take on this inscription, perhaps based on my own experience, and somewhat odd(?) sense of humor.
I have sometimes introduced Mrs. Darlinboy as my first wife. This description is totally accurate she is my first, current, and only wife.

The fact that she tolerates this introduction with only a roll of the eyes is one of the (many) reasons we’re still together.
