Looking to dress down my GSOTM sometimes as think the alligator is too dressy.

Not too tempted by a nylon NATO but would like a strap with a bit of texture. Maybe something with fabric not leather. Similar to the BSOTM.

Any suggestions are welcome! Pics would be great especially if you've tested something with your own GSOTM

That's really close to what I'm thinking of. Not sure how Navy blue would suit the watch though... was thinking to stick with grey

 

A variety of Natos work well!

 

I've seen a few grey and grey white combos. But trying to steer clear of natos for this one.

I've seen a few canvas ones I like online. But will probably have to try to squeeze a 22mm in or have some spring bar showing with a 20mm

 

I think the blue would look nice with it but I also would wonder if it might limit what you wear it with. One of the reasons I like the grey is it's so neutral you can get away with wearing it with nearly anything. I know you said you'd like to stay grey but the black of the BSOTM would look great too and be a little more versatile than the blue. There are a bunch of nice looking aged/distressed grey straps out there that would give it a more casual, sporty look but of course they're 20 or 22mm.. The 21mm size definitely limits choices.

 

Is that a regular speedie bracelet?

 

So gave it a shot and put my GSOTM on my speedie bracelet.

Color is a bit off. What do you guys think?

 

I still think the original alligator is the best.....I tried the bond nato on it and it looked decent but didn't stay on the watch long. I find the alligator quite versatile actually formal vs informal/sporty.

 

While i think the bracelet in concept looks good with it I suspect the color is more off IRL than it is in those pictures. That would make my head explode if it were my wrist... I think it's one of those things where you're better off definitively contrasting than it is almost matching.

 

How did you make a 20mm bracelet appear to fit 21mm lugs?

I'm not a fan of the standard cadaverous grey strap, and I like brown straps. I think the dark brown/burgundy of Shell #8 works well. A lighter brown like this one might work, too (it's on a darkside, though): http://forums.watchuseek.com/f20/gsotm-deployant-3415690-3.html#post31962938
