Just thought I would throw this out there. I am very picky on my phone cases, I want thin, decent protection and great looks.

While searching I came across these guys who make Horween cases that appear to age beautifully. I just got mine and I love it, thin with good protection and looks awesome. I highly recommend these guys.

The blue ones are currently on sale for under $20, and while I got the blue one I think I might go get the brown one also at $40. They make them for the iPhone range and some Samsungs.

Hmm looks pretty good.
I have been buying the Apple leather cases for my last few phones.
Their "saddle brown" aged nicely, but the last two I bought were just the black ones.
It looks like the Nomad "Rugged" case seems to be an excellent option for someone like myself who needs a little extra protection...

 

I went non rugged and for me it’s enough. An mm or 2 over the glass and decent corner protection for a thin case.

Yeah I figured it would be at least as good as the Apple one.
I think I will order the black one (that is also on sale) and give it a shot.

Edit 2: Actually, @Foo2rama which phone did you get it for? I have an 8+ and the case looks like it covers up the bottom speaker and mic. Is that true? or is the picture just deceiving?

 

8 for me and mine has cut outs for the speaker and mic.

 

Thanks for the recommendation @Foo2rama! I'm about to purchase an X and these look gorgeous. The rugged brown case is right up my alley. Although that hex case is tempting too...
