Hello all, as requested here's some new pics of this watch. Sorry for the quality and the lighting, they're cell phone pics. I'm planning on upgrading to a real camera soon. Maybe I'll make a light box and actually research how to take good pictures.

The story of this watch is as follows. My Grandfather Manuel was a hard worker and according to my father, liked nice things. He passed away just after I had been born, so I never knew him. Some years ago, I was having dinner with his eldest son, my Uncle Tony, who happened to notice the Omega Seamaster Pro I was wearing. He complimented me on it and said that somewhere, he had an Omega that belonged to his father.

When we went back to his place, he dug around in his office for a while. Finding nothing, he moved to the garage, where from out of a junk drawer, he produced this beautiful chronograph. It was dirty, the crystal had cracked and it wasn't winding or functioning. He told me that he had worn it for years. Maybe 10 years before, it had stopped working. He took it to a watchmaker who fixed it. It worked for another year or so, then stopped working again, so into the drawer it went.

When he told me he had it, I was expecting a 33mm gold filled dress watch....not something I'd ever be interested in wearing. Uncle Tony probably saw my face light up when I saw it, he asked "you want it?".....oh boy did I ever! Then he said "somewhere around here, I have a couple of old Heuer chronographs that don't work anymore"........but that's a different story.

I sent the watch to Stoll & Co for repair. They did a nice job, but I forgot to tell them to leave the case alone, so they did a little brushing on the case sides. I just opened it last night and to my surprise, or to my ignorance, there's no gasket....can anyone weigh in...shouldn't there be a gasket? Anyways, enjoy the pics!

    Specs:
case size 38mm w/o the signed crown
dial has a really nice light beige patina
    hands are almost copper colored
    20mm drilled lugs
    caseback not externally signed

Stunning and perfect old Chrono. Too bad about the polish. A bigger sin is leaving the shop without a gasket. You really should not wear it without one. I can't really tell if it's missing or not. They are very thin.

Loving these chronos but know little about them
Is there a period when the 'fat' omega logo comes into play on these watches? ( came up on another thread recently )

    Just a gorgeous watch!
Here is my Tissot 33.3 gratefully acquired from Tom (above). My understanding is thst this movement was renamed from the Lemania 15TL when omega/tissot/lemania merged in the 1930's, and that they are identical. But one vintage collector insisted to me that a 15TL and 33.3 are different. Any credence to this?

Tissot TL15, Lemania and 33.3 share the same movement base but are slightly different mostly concerning plates/bridges and finish (gilt, silvered, nickeled), chronograph parts are widely the same and interchangeable depending on the movement iteration of the 33.3

Looks like an Omega sign is the newest edition if you will...For that period of time I would expect to see a different logo...Is it a service dial?
Anyways, you've got a nice time piece. Congratulations on it.

    Thanks all for the compliments!
Yeah, not sure about the details, thanks for posting yours. I had heard they are related but they are fairly rare. I've not seen another like mine.
I see yours doesn't have a gasket but it looks like a snap back case. I think mine should have a gasket. Hmmmmm...
