IMG_0269.JPG IMG_0270.JPG IMG_0271.JPG IMG_0272.JPG Good morning from Bangkok, OF! So I recently purchased a nice old Constellation pie pan from a reputable vendor, but I have my doubts about the steel bracelet. I think my suspicion stems from how light weight it is. This is my first vintage watch, so I can't be sure what's normal. I've been wearing a modern, steel Tissot PRC 200 which feels like leg irons on my wrist, so I may just be over-sensitized. Anyway, I've combed through here and am puzzled how anyone can know what's the real deal, but some folks have that gift. So, what do you think?

Looks fine to me, these were not heavyweights.

The "rice grains" are actually hollow inside. Not solid steel. So it isn't very heavy.

I've got an original one and a copy one....the weight feels almost exactly the same. Have a close look at the end connectors...do they have a small rounded end as opposed to a big squarish block clipping on to the lugs..

Not sure you could fake that floppyness and aging - looks good to me.

I have got 9 of these original bracelets, all fitted to Omegas........Looks fine to me

The Seiko versions, ( often passed off as Omega, with replaced vintage clasp ) are easy to spot

Is it me, or is one side (top of watch) on upside down with the link connection showing :whistling: on the outside of the bracelet

That explains why it's so comfortable to wear then!

Mine has small, roundish ends that fit into the lugs...is that a good thing? I hope!

I think it was just a contortion I subjected to it! The connector side is most definitely underneath the watch. Where it attaches to the watch up above, there is an aesthetic match. My watch photography needs improvement I'm sure!

The bracelet can be put on the connector and clasp upside down......

Look at the bottom of this picture, see how the bottom links are showing the join compared to the top.
    ( it's a easy fix for a jewellery shop or watchmaker. )

Wow! You're amazing! Now, and I've never noticed before, I see that each "grain of rice" has a horizontal split like a Tylenol capsule... but only on one side. Presumably this split should be face down, yes? The split is this way on the 6 o'clock side of the watch, but face up on the 12 o'clock side. So, the fix is, go to the jeweler and make sure all splits are face down?

Hi Standy! All fixed now! As you said, it took about 5 minutes to rectify! My heart sank a bit when I saw the pliers come out, but the guy here knew exactly what he was doing and now my GoR is as Omega and God intended!

Maybe your Tissot is made of 18k white gold. That would explain the weight.
