After 2 weeks driving tandem as part of my training program that had me log 6800 miles, and much of it in the foulest weather imaginable, I was greeted with....but not before I had to go through sleet, snow, freezing rain, high winds and the kitchen sink

Hi @Faz, just wanted to chime in and say I've really really enjoyed all your posts on your new career (despite the weather). Keep up the good work!

Also, I just finished a book you might like called The Long Haul, a book about a trucker who moves peoples' houses. Worth a listen on those long trips :)

Thanks for the well wishes. I'm obviously going through a trial by fire period. Being exposed and driving in these conditions is an extremely sobering experience. I've seen (as in my pictures) fellow drivers be totally reckless in extremely slippery and low visibility conditions. The results are disastrous. Slow down or simply get off the road is THE solution. Trying to beat the clock isn't worth killing yourself, or worse, taking someone else out with you because you're in a hurry to get to destination. SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY...there's no other way.

And I must say, the interior is as big as a small office! Fridge, micro wave, coffee maker, induction cooker. I even have a support rack for a small flat screen TV!

These rigs have become so sophisticated. Quiet, comfortable and ergonomic. Makes life on the road much more bearable.
