Why are some of the Rolex logos on the dials applied, and some printed? In fact, I think the watch in the OP is the only one I have seen with an applied logo. Big fan of this watch
A quick answer to your question, the applied coronets were phased out with painted ones late in the production cycle of the nipple dials.. Those little things, attention to detail, that were phased away..
I just picked up a beautiful matte dial myself! Really enjoying how subtle it is on your wrist. Nice find!
