Some of you may remember me asking for advice on my Omega Speedmaster 145022 71st

I was able to get the bracelet from Omega for about $450+ tax and found a local Watchmaker at Travis AFB to do a movement service for $220 and another $150 for crystal. Overall took a little over 3 weeks start to finish but very happy with the outcome.

I also have a 1067 1/70 bracelet if anyone is looking to trade?

Attached before and after photos. Let me know if there's anything else I should do. Thanks all!

As of the 2021, Omega crystals have jumped tremendously; basic stuff's gone from $70 to $120; I imagine the 145.022 crystal's risen about the same.

Yep - it's hard to keep up, and every day when I log into the Extranet, I'm ready for another episode of sticker shock. What used to be a pretty frivolous part of doing a service, is now a fairly major decision people have to make due to the costs. I'm polishing out more scratches in crystals than ever...

Al, I have a vague recollection that replacement OEM hesalite crystals for Speedmasters used to be about $35 USD and that was in the not too distant past. Is that accurate or am I thinking about prices in the 1980’s? 😲

Yes, and it wasn’t all that long ago...

Thanks. As I thought. The price increases are breathtaking.
