Got this Tissot SeaStar on a auction for 8$ USD
Can someone give me more info about? And if is possible to get a new Dial, considering this one looks rough and probably isn’t original

I may be entirely wrong and I don’t want to give you a false steer, but I think I may, once, have had a similar Seastar.

Mine had a 44521-3 case with a 2481 movement. That was a time in the 1970s that Tissot and Omega were sharing movements and the 2481 movement was the equivalent of the Omega 1481.

Enicar crown, dial is toast, watch is good for parts- but you scored on the bracelet. Take off the bracelet and find a nicer watch to put it on.

Oh, and the staggered letters means someone tried the lemon juice trick in an attempt to clean the dial and floated the letters off.

find a nicer watch
I have no idea what the OP is doing, but it seems they have an aversion to the nicer watches. If you remember their other thread:

Obviously OP has a different definition of a project watch.

We are trying to save you money. Just because you bought the watch for nothing doesn't mean it's worth restoring it. JwRosenthal told you about the cheapest option with the least amount of headache.

You do what you want to your watch, but don't feel offended if we don't agree with your plan. This is not a paid service where you get the specific answer you are looking for and nothing else.

I think one of the end-links may be filed down to the point it won't fit a round case anymore.

😳

Well, perhaps the clasp and a few removable links make it worth it …there’s gotta be a pony under that pile of shit,

Some of us do like ratwatches. Just bought another 1342 movement this afternoon and a case over the weekend. Thirtyfive bucks here and there adds up quickly. Especially when I had to double my bid. Missed one last week by a dollar.

8 bucks, plus another 800 for a service and one has something. There are those who still think service is 200, but those days are rapidly dwindling, if they really are loosing 1000 watchmakers a year. On the other hand Youtube is gaining a few amateur entertainers, so restoring junk ratty watches has a few channels. Just remember these guys and gals on YT have other sources of income. Probably relating to a long lost Nigerian relative.
