Hi Everyone,
Want to share my mini-project with you. Been wanting a bracelet for my Ed White for a while and thanks to @oddboy I was able to secure a 7912 with 617 end links. Switching up a strap makes a watch feel new to me (and maybe I'm becoming a bracelet guy, I don't know). This felt like a mini-project because it sure was hard for me to install this one! haha. One of my spring bars is way too stiff. Anyhow, questions for you:

- Even after adjustments, the bracelet is still too big for me. I need to get a link removed. Any advice about this? Can any watch repair shop handle at 7912?
- Anyone have any 6 end links they want to sell me 馃榾

Maybe lightly polish the two outermost segments of the 617s to make them more fitting with the bracelet, looks good though. Flatlink bracelets are all the same to size, you really just need some toothpicks, on the underside there's a cover strip, you pinch the bracelet, slide the cover off then pop it out.

Done! Removed the links myself. Ok, it wasn't that easy to remove the strips, I'm not gonna lie. That was quite an accomplishment for me. Thanks for the tip, @dsio !

Lookin' good! I like switching between bracelet and strap. Agree, feels like a new watch for a while.

Rattly old goodness those old flatlink bracelets are!

Thank for the feedback, guys. here's the after pic. The bracelet pic looks similar as before, except now i can suspend my arm in the air without the watch slipping 馃榾

I have a flatlink stamped 2 61, with 7 end pieces for my seamaster. However the sprung links don't seem to have the panel that can be slid off.
Does anyone know how I can remove the links? Is it just a case of forcing open the section I'm pointing at?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

That looks like the section of the bracelet that is not adjustable by the approach I followed. I'm not aware of how you can adjust that part of the bracelet.

Don't loose those links, they're like gold dust!

I think the only alternative is to force open the link. Unless you have the correct delicate tools you are best going to a jeweler/ watchmaker.
