Concept 2 owner for over 20 years.

I knew it was the most popular one when I bought it.

I nearly fell for a beautiful wood framed rower that had fan blades contained in a water filled housing.

It was a work of art. I forget the brand name. There are several on the market now.

Still glad I bought the predictably solid and proven C2. It has never failed me.

I rowed for several years when I was younger, mostly part of a 4-crew, but stopped because I wouldn’t dedicate all my spare time, which was really what was required, if I wanted to do anything serious with it.

There is a reason why Concept-machines are the most prevailing in rowing clubs. They are the best for the money 😀

I have also tried a couple of different water rowers and while several of them look nice they just don’t compare to a Concept rower in the long term.

We have some of the larger Rogue pull-up bars and they're excellent. Overbuilt and durable paint texture.

Yeah, the rogue stuff is bombproof. Some the best money I've ever spent. I just bought a second squat stand and a B&R bar for my wife. I hadn't used their barbells much before, but the quality seems very good for the money. I was also so happy to see that they sell bare steel bars - they get the best patina on the knurling, but few companies do them these days.

Shifted the plan while knee heals, but still in the gym today!

Took a month off from dl, squat, or aggressive leg days (just lunges recommended by a friend in pt).

On bike now, knee sleeves ready. Going to try easing back into squats today

🤞

What was the knee situation you were dealing with?

What was the knee situation you were dealing with?

Strain causing inflammation and pain in the back of knee. Odd as it may sound, it happens when I use a back extension bench of any kind. As soon as I lock the back of my heels in, the pads against quads, and lean over (be it an angled or parallel with floor bench) my left knee feels essentially hyper extended. Takes me weeks/months to recover.

I pieced it together after doing it, then squatting three days later. Thankfully my rep went fine, but the moment I racked it I knew something was wrong. Took a month off from leg days, dl, etc...

These things happen with age. I am still blessed to be able to get out and do any of it 😁

That's a bummer. I'm in my 40s now and injuries sure do take their sweet time to heal these days. I've been powerlifting for almost 20 years now, and I've almost gotten it through my thick skull that more volume doesn't help with an inflammation issue. I've got some kinda golfer's elbow at the moment (pretty sure it's a repetitive stress thing from my day job). I should try and let it heal more, but heavy DL day is just so enticing. 😬

Same, 40'a also, this was the longest I have gone without squat or DL in probably 15 years.

Unplanned benefit, my back felt great! Never even bothered with a back belt.

Yeah…I got a fitness regime…I went to the layover motel in Denver, CO wearing my Cincinnati Bengals stuff because the Bengals played (and smoked) the Ravens today…I got on the Peloton to do the usual 20 minute effort of 250W and got winded less than a minute into the effort! WTFO? Oh, snap…I’m at altitude! I couldn’t hold 250W at a mile up…settled for 225W…
…then I went to 7-Eleven for heat lamp wings and heckled Broncos fans…
