hey guys, I’m traveling and came across a very nice “new old stock” Zenith Sporto. I quite like it and it’s being sold by a reputable dealer. I am curious if those who are more experienced think it’s a good buy? They are asking 1.300€, but with not VAT and some asking I’m hoping to get it closer to 1.000€. Cheers
There is this trend of attaching a label to a watch and claim it's NOS. Those labels are not difficult to find on ebay. Watch is not NOS, there marks on the movement's screwheads. Dial looks dubious to me, subsecond markers aren't centered and main marker 5 intrudes in the subdial.
As suggested above, not likely to be NOS. Also, it is a chrome-top case, which means that the price would have been too high even if it were in perfect condition.
Plenty sold here for no where near as expensive as that one... https://omegaforums.net/search/11104769/?q=Zenith+Sporto&o=date&c[title_only]=1&c[node]=40
Yeah, must be two digits hidden under the black strip... otherwise watch would be made on 1920, which is impossible.
Geez, very glad I asked! They also had a zenith Daytona “new old stock” for 45.000€, wonder if that was legit or not.
Terrible redial. Why is the 5 spilling into the subdial? Also €1300 !! That’s the idiot tourist price
