I never really liked gold watches before because yellow gold doesn't suit me.
Then I found this rose gold Omega 2872.
It's sublime!

Now, I am looking for other rose and pink gold watches.
Like Zenith Captain or Longines Conquest or UG Polerouter...

My Grandfathers yellow gold Mathey Tissot watch from 1947 . . . actually18k case and 14k band. Very vintage but I never really get that dressed up . . . may put a nice brown band on it just to dress it down a little.

Love my De Ville but I get the impression it must be way up there with the least liked gold Omegas, each to there own 😀

Personally I never liked YG watches. I feel they are too flashy and don't work with my skin tone. With that said I always wanted a PM piece. Rolex gold is too expensive and long lists even got gold. Was in my AD last fall and was looking at the 9900 racing SS speedy and was about to pull the trigger but there was a piece of dust or something under the crystal. I suddenly saw IMHO one of the most gorgeous speedys I've ever seen and just out of curiosity I asked to try it on. Even with the leather band the weight felt heavy in a good way. The Rose gold worked with my skin and, due to the dark blue leather band, it was not too loud. The clasp alone weighs almost on ounce. I decided to purchase it with a 12% discount and now its my fav watch in my collection. Its sporty but dressy at the same time and even looks nicer in person. I've yet to see one in the wild or at any omega store since.
