Hello everyone, I have this watch, as a heritage from my grand father. Have no clue about the approximate value of this, can anyone share any ideas? Thank you

Hi, welcome to the forum, with just one picture, it is difficult to say anything for sure, but it looks to me a fake watch or a badly redial + over polished case. I'm leaning toward 2.

Definitely a redial as the Swiss made is too far apart. Not sure it's fake would need to see more.

I think any proclamations are premature until more and better pictures are posted. @Tornillo the watch has real value because of the family connection. I think the black dial with gold is a sharp look. The members here are assessing the watch from a collector's point of view. Collectors value originality highly. The case has been polished which removes some of the original lines and edges. It is also quite possible that dial was damaged at some point and repainted, by I cannot say from the pictures. We also cannot tell if the case and/or bracelet are solid gold or plated based on the on photo. Here is a guide to get more and better answers.

Hi @Tornillo and welcome on board 😀

The value of your watch is difficult to assess, but it is around the gold value of the case + bracelet (I am guessing everything here is solid gold) and the value of the movement as a spare part. This is due to the condition of the case and the restored dial, which are the two main factors that influence price. As @wagudc rightly says, we are evaluating it as collectors.

However, if you are looking to sell it, you could put it for sale on eBay or similar with an honest description and it is quite possible that it will fetch a higher price than a dedicated collector would valuate it at.
